 Ed Samuel has more than 30 years of domestic and international          industry experience in operations, finance, sales and recruiting.  He builds  relationships with people based on honesty in a collaborative spirit. Ed has spent more than seven years with distinct recruiting firms: Robert Half International, Global Recruiters, The Deneb Group as its Managing Partner. Most recently, he provided support to WL Gore, a multi-billion dollar global medical device firm at their Regional Recruiting Leader. There he led a large, diverse and complex recruiting team inclusive of contractors, RPO's, college recruiting, high volume manufacturing hiring and building strategic talent pipelines for some critical skills sets. He has helped countless candidates with career support and filled a large number of positions for clients across a wide array of industries on both a retained and contingency basis.  

Ed was awarded “New Recruiter of the Year – 2008" for the Eastern Region, becoming only one of four people selected out of more than 175 Global Recruiter Network offices across the US.  Ed has lectured at numerous executive networking events such as the Technology Professionals Networking Group of Greater Philadelphia. He also founded the Wilmington, DE chapter for the Business Executive Networking Group which has been one of the highest attended networking forums in the area. Most recently, Ed was certified as a Career Direct Consultant and leads individual career assessments with high school, college and working professionals. 

Ed began his career with Digital Equipment Corporation where he spent 19 years in such areas as Accounting, Finance, Customer Service, Organizational Design and Customer Support.  He then moved to The Stride Rite Corporation as the General Manager for Customer Service.  Ed gained international experience, in Ireland, England, The Netherlands and Hong Kong, as Global Director of Customer Administration with QAD, Inc.  He then moved to MeadWestvaco as Vice President of Global Operations for a high-tech packaging design firm. Next, Ed worked for a leading-edge natural resource management firm as its CFO.

Two years prior to moving to the recruiting services industry, Ed worked as a fully licensed Financial Advisor for UBS Financial Services Inc.

Ed holds a B.A. from Wilmington University, graduating summa cum laude, and has an undergraduate degree in Accounting. He has held Series 7 and Series 63 licenses as a Financial Advisor.

Ed is very active at church as a Crown.org Associate supporting PA, DE and southern NJ areas and a series of Christian Men Group activities. He is deeply committed to Keeping Pennsylvania Beautiful projects. Ed loves spending time with his wife, daughters, and granddaughter.  He holds a second degree Black Belt in Karate, plays racquetball and horseshoes on a competitive level, enjoys long walks hiking and small mouth bass fishing.

Meet Glen Pratt, Recruiter and Sourcing Specialist 

Glen Pratt has a deep seated passion and experience in helping people advance their interests and careers especially as a music coach over the last 12 years. He  has also worked for at the Christiana School District Reach Program where he was assistant music teacher to 100+ students with severe physical and intellectual learning disabilities across 14 separate schools. He also performed in more than 200 church band performances. 

Overall, Glen has broad experience in marketing, research, sales, account management and sourcing talent for projects. His enthusiasm, good nature and passion for learning and people is contagious. Glen is one who truly looks for the best in all candidates and will do all that he can to help in some way.   





Meet Jen Samuel, Lead Associate

Jen Samuel is dedicated to helping people through her communication, research and networking skills. Her primary focus is on helping Candidates revamp their resumes, support targeted job searches and manages all marketing activities for SamNova. Jen has also been instrumental in finding strong talent that resulted in job placements.   

After earning a Bachelor of Science in English from Temple University, Jen spent a year as a full-time volunteer teaching art, theater and poetry through AmeriCorps. She helped people in Mississippi as a Hurricane Katrina disaster relief volunteer in 2005. Jen has also worked as a newspaper Reporter, as well as a Director of Publications for a historic private school. In addition to her work at SamNova, she recently worked as the editor for two newspapers in central N.J. She is now president of Elephants DC.



 

Meet Sara Dawn, Candidate Services Manager 

Sara Dawn is an entrepreneur who loves working with and helping people of all walks of life. She has more than 15 years of piano instruction, customer service and sales experience. She has built and run a highly successful piano practice for the last twelve years. Previously, Sara Dawn worked in customer service support for a wholesale and retail fabric and furniture firm for three years. Prior to that experience, she trained and led a home-based marketing products team for three years. Sara Dawn has a knack for helping others blossom to their full potential and identifying strong talent. 

Sara Dawn attended Immaculata University for Piano Performance. She has studied under Dr. Carr, Steinway artist, and Sheila Paige, president of Piano Wellness. Additionally, she studied Suzuki training under Joan Krzywicki at Temple University.  Sara Dawn is very active in church ministry, civic and charity events.
